Getting the word out about leisure jobs

The new season is fast approaching and your team is still not complete. How can you find the best people to work with you?

The first steps in recruiting a new employee are to define the position, create the job ad and post it.

Here's a list of the different places you should post your ad to find that special someone.

1. Posting on generalist recruitment sites

No surprise, here the strategy is to make your offer known to as many people as possible. Among the volume of job seekers on these sites, you might just find your recruit.
It's important to publish your ad on these platforms, because other sites extract the data from these sites and distribute it elsewhere; you'll be visible to the greatest number of people without any effort.

2. Distribution on specialized websites by type of activity

Specialized sites have less traffic than generalist sites, but their audience is more targeted: less volume but better quality.

Training centers specialized by activity come to mind first. Every year, new graduates are trained and looking for work. Send your job offers to these centers, who can pass them on to their students.

Specialized groups and unions are also good relays for your job offers. You can let your entire community know that a vacancy has arisen, and the network of members can work in your favor.

Here are the different sites classified by activity.

3. Broadcasting on social networks

Your network, customers and partners may also know the ideal person; the power of word-of-mouth should not be overlooked.

Facebook and Instagram

To broadcast your offer on Facebook and Instagram, you'll need to create a visual. In order to be visible in the news feed, we advise you to use little text, an explicit photo and a color that stands out to highlight your text. Here's one of our successful offers.

There are also specialized leisure groups on Facebook for your tourism-related ads.

In particular, we advise you to post your vacancy on the group: Emploi / Job LOISIR ACTIVITE TOURISME, which is moderated to ensure quality content. Group members will be able to pass on your offer to their network.

LinkedIn

The LinkedIn social network is a professional network, and more and more players in the leisure industry are signing up. It's the ideal place to post a job ad, even if the audience isn't yet developed in the leisure industry. As with Facebook, you'll need to post an image on your LinkedIn company page to share your offer.

👀 GUIDAP tip: Hunt for the best profiles on LinkedIn

At GUIDAP, when we're looking for a new employee, we prefer to be active. Rather than waiting for candidates to apply, we go looking for them. 💪

On LinkedIn, people can indicate the various degrees they hold.

LinkedIn offers a powerful search engine to find people with this degree in the geographic area of your choice.

Once you have the list, you can contact each person by message to tell them about your vacancy.

Instead of waiting for someone to apply, you take the lead in finding that special someone. It's very effective.

Here's an example of a LinkedIn search for the CQP OPAH diploma.
